Welcome to Rock Bottom Fishing Charters, proudly providing Fishing and Crabbing guide services throughout Oregon to include Depot Bay, Newport, Tillamook, and the mighty Columbia River. My name is Captain Neil Bohne originally from Missoula Montana. I have served in the United States Air Force for just over 20 years and recently retired in 2018. For the last 14 years, I have called Happy Valley Oregon just outside of Portland, home. With a pure affinity for the great outdoors, crabbing, fishing, and serving great people, I have decided to provide guiding services to include Bottom Fishing (Rock Fish), Ling Cod fishing, Halibut fishing, Sturgeon fishing, and both Inland and Ocean Crabbing. I look forward to seeing you onboard.

The Myla Rae

When you book with Rock Bottom Fishing Charters, you will fish aboard the "Myla Rae". She is a 2016 26' Hewes Craft Alaskan Series Vessel, powered by a Honda 250 Horse Power motor along with a 25 HP kicker. With a heated fully enclosed cabin, you are able to be comfortable both in and out of nasty weather. Additionally, the Myla Rae has a fully functional lavatory for those unforeseen circumstances.

Rock Bottom Fishing Charters Oregon Destinations

Rock Bottom Fishing Charters currently provides bottom fishing to include the Crem De La Crem of the Rockfish world, the Ling Cod, other species of bottom fish to include Canary, Tiger, Black, Blue, Yellow Tail, and Vermillion Rockfish. We serve all areas of Oregon but concentrate mostly on both Depot Bay Oregon and Newport Oregon. Additionally, we will target the infamous "Dinosaur", the White Sturgeon in the Columbia River Tributaries. When able and the season allows we will also drop crab pots to catch delicious Dungeness Crab.
